“I think the guys were a little surprised to see all those bigger teams there,” head coach Sheri Ressler said.

Grand Rapids won the meet with 280 points. Bemidji, who moved from Class AA down to Class A this year, finished second with 225 points.

Gavin Grismer was the Jackets lone winner. He finished first in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:00.78. Ben Collette was seventh with a time of 1:04.98.

Perham will head back west on Hwy. 10 on Jan. 26 for a meet in Moorhead. On Jan. 28, they return to D.L. for a dual with the Lakers.

Fundraiser for swim team at Pizza Ranch Jan. 25

The Perham boys swimming and diving team will be hosting a fundraiser on Jan. 25 at the Perham Pizza Ranch.

Between 5-7:30 p.m., a percentage of all purchases will benefit the Yellowjacket swim team.

Diners are asked to mention the team at the time of placing the order.

It won’t cost the customer anything extra, but the boys team will receive a portion of the proceeds.
