Though rain hampered the 2009 “Heritage Festival” at the Perham Pioneer Village, the sun came out just a the Native American Pow Wow was about to begin.
Most of the dancers were from the White Earth Indian Reservation. The troupe also included a Native American veterans color guard, which carried the U.S. and Canadian flags; as well as the POW-MIA flag and an eagle feather banner.
