Perham Area Girl Scouts have also done their share to fight hunger in the area. The Scouts donated nearly a ton of food last year, reported four representatives at the March 4 Perham Lions meeting, who are pictured here: Cassie Beseman, Dana Poore, Erin Poore and Mikayla Sundag. For the past two summers, the approximate 40-member Scout group has collected food at Dean’s and Service Foods during August – a time of year when the food shelf is running low on inventory, reported the Scouts. The Lions voted to donate $500 to the Girl Scouts to help support the Troop.
