Michael Manger

Michael Manger, 66, of Dent, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2010, in Sanford Health, Fargo, N.D., after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010, beginning at 11 a.m. in St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Perham, with Father Joe Herzing officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 18, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Michael Manger, 66, of Dent, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2010, in Sanford Health, Fargo, N.D., after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 18, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Michael was born on September 16, 1943 in Moorhead, Minn., the son of Cliff and Vivian (Rehder) Manger. On June 7, 1969, Michael was united in marriage to Helen Lepire. Together they enjoyed 41 years of marriage. In 1982, Michael started a nondestructive testing business in Fargo where he continued to work up until his death. He was a devoted family man, avid carpenter and fisherman. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, training his dogs and cherished his home at the lake, which he built. He was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. He has impacted many lives with his knowledge and life experiences.

Michael is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Nicole (Patrick), Melissa (Brad), and Michelle (Andrew); son, Michael (Melissa); grandchildren, Colton, Dylan and Isabelle; mother, Vivian; and sister, Patty (Brad).

Preceding Michael in death is his father, Cliff; and his sister, Jolene.
