Mangna Patnaude

Funeral services were held for Mangna Patnaude on Saturday, August 21 at the Karvonen & Son Funeral Home in New York Mills with Pastor Ryan Stout officiating.

Funeral services were held for Mangna Patnaude on Saturday, August 21 at the Karvonen & Son Funeral Home in New York Mills with Pastor Ryan Stout officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation and accompanied by Janet Tumberg. Special music was provided by Tami Buldra. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, New York Mills.

Mangna Edna Patnaude was born on February 29, 1920 in New York Mills. Her parents were the late John and Anna (Harra) Soronen. Mangna was married to Donavan Patnaude. She was employed as a waitress at a local restaurant in New York Mills. In her retirement, Mangna made her home at Kaleva Apartments and since September of 2009, had been cared for at the Elders’ Home in New York Mills. On August 16, 2010, Mangna passed away at the Elders’ Home at age 90.

Preceding Mangna in death were her parents; husband, Donavan; and two sons, Marvin and Dennis.

Magna is survived by her son, Robert A. Buldra, Sr., of New York Mills; three grandchildren, Robert Jr., Shane and Rita; five great-grandchildren, Brandon, Crystal, Amber, Taylor and Madison.
