Funeral services were held for Charles “Chucky” Meeks on Dec. 22 at the Karvonen & Son Funeral home in New York Mills with Gary Bennett leading the services. The hymns were sung by the congregation and accompanied by Louise Amberg. The pallbearers were Dennis Meeks, Nathan Peterson, Dennis Meeks, Jr., Clarence Meeks, Howard Meeks and Ben Meeks. Charles was laid to rest in Prairie Cemetery, Ottertail.

Calvin Stuart Steeke, 4, of Rhame, N.D. died on Feb. 5 at Southwest Healthcare in Bowman, N.D. after a farm accident. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Scranton High School gymnasium. Pastor Chuck Swanson, Pastor Galen Strand and Pastor Mary Peterson will officiate with burial to follow at the Bowman Cemetery. Friends and family services will be held at the Bowman Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Services of Bowman are handling arrangements.

Funeral services were held for Charles Rudolph of New York Mills on Oct. 3 with the Rev. Muriel Hachfeld officiating. Hymns were sung by the congregation and accompanied by Lou Legried. Pallbearers were Chad Rudolph, Rebecca Trafton, Neil Rudolph, Garrett Rudolph, Peter Schmidt and Philip Schmidt. The Charles D. Center V.F.W. Post #3289 of New York Mills and Minnesota Army National Guard Honor Guard of Moorhead, Minn. provided military honors. Charles was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, New York Mills.
