Six Yellowjackets garner HOL football honors
Six Yellowjackets were named to the Heart O’ Lakes-Northern all-conference team, the most of any team in the Northern division of the conference.
The list is made up of four seniors: Jesse Hein; Gabe Pankonin; Jacob Still and Mark Schumacher; junior Jordan Hein and sophomore Payton Jordahl.

Perham advances to 8AAA final with victory over Park Rapids
For a second straight playoff game, the #1-seeded Perham Yellowjackets (7-3) found themselves in a first-half dogfight. This time, with #5 seed Park Rapids (3-7).
The Panthers took an early 7-0 lead and threatened, like Staples-Motley did last week, to take a lead into halftime.

8AAA football quarterfinals: Jackets overcome shaky start to defeat Cardinals
Three Perham first half turnovers allowed the Staples-Motley Cardinals (0-9) to hang with Perham (6-3) in the first half of the opening game of the Section 8AAA football playoffs.
Perham came out ready to play in the second half and put the game away with three third quarter touchdowns en route to a 34-12 victory.

Minnesota Section 8AAA football playoffs: Green Wave in familiar position
Tom Miller, of the Grand Forks Herald, previews Park Rapids Area at East Grand Forks. The winner will travel to Perham to play the Yellowjackets in the second round should Perham defeat Staples-Motely tonight. The Green Wave are the defending section champions. They are the #4 seed. They won last year's Section 8AAA playoffs as the #4 seed.
