Perham native and Concordia College junior, Phil Moenkedick, became the first Cobber wrestler to win a national title in three decades on Saturday, March 6 at the NCAA Division III national tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

New York Mills’ senior Jordan Novak wrestled his way to a fourth-place finish during the Class 1A state individual meet inside the Xcel Energy Center Wednesday-Saturday, March 3-6.

Border West too strong for NY Mills in Section 6A finals
It was a disappointing finish to a fantastic season for the New York Mills wrestlers. The Eagles team season came to an end Saturday at the Mills Sports Center in a 47-19 loss to Border West in the Section 6A championship match.
